The Home Energy Ontario Program and Natural Resources Canada ecoEnergy Retrofit Grants
Call us about insulating with PINK® fiber glass to lower your heating costs, conserve energy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The Home Energy Ontario Program provides homeowners with financial grants to subsidize the cost of energy-saving home retrofits including insulation. There are also matching amounts from Natural Resources Canada ecoEnergy Retrofit Grants and Incentives.
Here's how the process works: 1. The homeowner selects a licensed energy evaluator to conduct a thorough assessment of their home's energy use. Search NRCan for an auditor in your community or, if you wish, to arrange an energy audit. 2. The evaluator inspects the home and provides a written report to the homeowner on ways to save energy as well as a guide to grants available for various measures, such as having attic insulation blown in. The evaluator submits the report. |

3. Ontario, on receiving notification that a qualifying audit has been completed, reimburses the homeowner 50 per cent of the cost of this first audit (up to $150).
5. The evaluator completes all grant paperwork and submits it on behalf of the homeowner. The maximum grant is $5,000 per home from the Province of Ontario, and $5,000 from Natural Resources Canada for a total of $10,000.
